Marion Hiller
A Washington state native and former middle school teacher, Marion grew up with a father who was an avid fly tier and fisher, who shared his knowledge exclusively with his two sons. After his passing, she became the caretaker of a family fishing camp in Montana, where she slowly grew a desire to become an independent and knowledgeable fly fisher. She joined the local fly club, 4th Corner Fly Fishers in Bellingham. Then encouraged by a good friend, she sought out Fly Fishing International (FFI), and eventually become a Certified Casting Instructor in 2022. Since connecting with FFI she has joined women’s adventures on still water, moving waters and on saltwater. Marion has provided instructional support to friends, Nooksack Salmon Enhancement events, local fly clubs, the Washington State Council of Fly Fishers International Casting Fair, after school fly fishing class for middle schoolers, and summer youth camps in Washington.
