Surf Clinic

The clinic is intended to help attendees learn what they may want/need to quire or prepare for the Surf outing on Feb. 22. much of the information is discussed in the Surf Fishing article under Outings on the SPFF.ORG site.

Bill Woods will bring a variety of surf fishing gear and discuss:
Rods - 5,6,7,8,9 weights
Lines - home made using T8 shooting heads and running line,
and commercial integrated lines like the Orvis Depth Charge and SA Streamer Express
Reels - sealed drag or fresh water
Leaders
Flies
Striping baskets - homemade vs commercial.
Waders/foot wear/jackets/hats/eye wear......

We will also mention tactics and beach safety.

If time permits, attendees may cast the various combinations.
