Come join Michael Schweit in fishing the Channel Islands! This is the best way to start off your ocean journey. You will be fishing on the fully licensed, inspected and insured Island Tak with a superb captain and crew that are familiar with ocean fly fishing.

The $345.00 price includes breakfast of bagels and lox, departs the landing in Oxnard at 4 a.m. and returns around 4 p.m.
You will need

1) 7-8 weight rod and reel with a full sink or sink tip line.
2) A stripping basket or bucket (you can even make one!).
3) The ability to double haul is NOT a necessity but it will make your
day easier.
4) If you have ocean streamer flies, bring them. If not, I have
extras. I also have an extra rod and reel and one stripping basket.
First asked gets their use.
5) Sunblock, lunch in a small ice chest, your favorite drinks and if
prone to seasickness, your best remedy. If there is concern, I have
lots of recommendations.

Trips are limited to 6 anglers plus your host (Michael Schweit). Usually arrive at the boat around 3:30 a.m. and there are bunks (bring your own pillow and sleeping bag or blanket).
