Fish Creek - Sequoia National Forest & Upper Owens River - May 24-28
Troy Meadow Campground is a remote camping destination located just off Sherman Pass Road in the Sequoia National Forest near Domeland Wilderness Area. The campground is 10 miles west of Kennedy Meadows (in Inyo National Forest, not Sonora Pass). We will be chasing Golden Trout in these great little streams such as Salmon Creek, Trout Creek, Jackass Creek, Fish Creek, and Corral Creek. Then Late Sunday or early Monday morning we will be trekking towards Upper Owens River about a 3.5 hour drive and set up basecamp at Brown‘s Owens River Campground as we gear up to chase Cutthroat Trout marking the opening of some famous creeks.
